The Blog Tour....

Ok, so presently there's a tour running with 30 Blog stops over the space of a week. Not all of the blogs have read and reviewed a copy, but here are two that have and what they had to say....

BeanieBrain Reader

I was given this book by author for honest review. Aquila “Aqua” is raised in the country and kept secluded by her mother. When she reveals herself to her best friend he freaks and she runs away. Rescued by the Angeli she proceeds to learn what she is. I loved this book. Aqua’s spunky attitude and her die hard gonna do it ways even when she did the runaways it was always a discovery. Some scenes had be burst out laughing while others left me wondering where the heck did that come from. Full of action and rebellion with the cliff ending leaving me wanting more. First in series, can’t wait for the next to come out.

A Creative Mind

It’s great. I couldn’t put it down. Aqua is a very unique girl.  She has wings and finds out she’s a special sort of species called Angeli. Not really Angels but not human either. We go along with her as she starts learning about who she is and who her parents are. She learns a war is coming and she’s needed to fight in it. She’s not real sure who can be trusted and who can’t. It has a lot of great twists and turns. I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more of T.L.’s books.

Time for some more teasers I think....

I can't believe it's almost June! This year is going far too quickly. So here goes with a few teasers for #2 Aquila; Into the Light

Aquila

He sighs and reinserts the key, and then I’m on my back. The tiled floor of the landing greets my occipital bone with an unfriendly kiss.
“Ow...” I groan. The dragone are quick, I didn’t register the key turning until it was too late to stop myself falling.

I didn’t expect him to turn the damn key.

Aquila and Axion

“Why did you bring me here?” I ask, my vision dimming around the edges as I scowl at him.
“You told Brue to meet us here,” he replies, exasperated.
“No. Why did you bring me here?”
He sighs, taking me by surprise and flopping onto the sand. I’m pulled down with him, landing beside him on my knees. I shoot him an angry glower but neither of us makes a move to get up.
“Because I was ordered to,” he murmurs.

Music to read to...

So people have been asking me if I have a playlist/any songs that inspired Aquila's story.
The fact is I always write to music, whether I'm writing for pleasure or for my degree...(not always pleasurable)!

I don't have a specific playlist for the book but there are a few bands/artists that feature more prominently on my A-list playlist than others.
Imagine Dragons
The Civil Wars
Passenger
Example
(to name but a few)

Here's just a bit of what I'm loving right now...

Matt and the Monkey: Demons (Imagine Dragons)

Death Cab For Cutie: Soul Meets Body

Paul Thomas Saunders: A Lunar Veteran's Guide to Re-entry

I could go on and on... so I'm stopping with the rule of three. I'll add another triple to my next post perhaps...
